Police lay charges - Stealing at Yarrawonga

Northern Territory Police have arrested a man following multiple incidents of stealing from a retail business in Yarrawonga.

Detectives from Strike Force Trident allege the 29-year-old man feigned using a trade account to steal from the business on at least 11 occasions since December 2021.

Acting Sergeant Aaron Watts said, "Search warrants executed on the man's residence yesterday uncovered a number of stolen items, a quantity of cannabis and methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia."

The man has been charged with:

  • 11 counts of stealing
  • Possess traffickable quantity Schedule 2 dangerous drug
  • Possess less than traffickable quantity Schedule 1 dangerous drug
  • Possess Less than traffickable quantity Schedule 2 dangerous drug
  • Possess thing to administer

He has been remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
