Police make arrest after Stake Hill crash

Major Crash Investigation Section have charged a man as a result of their investigation into a serious traffic crash that occurred on the Kwinana Freeway near Lakes Road in Stake Hill yesterday, 16 October 2019.

It is alleged the man was the driver of a vehicle that crashed and a passenger in the car, a 22-year-old man, sustained serious head injuries in the crash and was conveyed by the RAC Rescue helicopter to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

The 25-year-old man from Balga has been charged with offences linked to the crash and the vehicle. He has been charged with :-

• Dangerous Driving Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm with Circumstances of Aggravation;

• Burglary and Commit offence;

• Steal Motor Vehicle;

• No Authority to Drive; and

• Possess a Prohibited Drug (Cannabis).

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 17 October 2019.
