Northern Territory Police have arrested a 15-year-old youth for an alleged aggravated assault that occurred in Gray on Wednesday 22 April 2020.
At around 9:40pm, a 51-year-old woman was walking from the Palmerston CBD when the male allegedly grabbed her by the hair and dragged her into a vacant lot before assaulting her.
The victim suffered injuries and was hospitalised overnight.
On Monday 27 April 2020, the 15-year-old male was arrested by detectives from Sex Crimes Division and Strike Force Trident at Casuarina. He has been charged with:
- attempted sexual intercourse without consent
- aggravated assault.
The youth has been remanded to appear in Darwin Youth Justice Court today.
