Police make arrest - Attempt Sexual Assault at Parap

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 23-year-old man following the attempted sexual assault of a woman at Parap on Monday, 12 December 2022.

Following the incident the alleged offender fled Darwin before police investigators tracked him down to a remote community.

The man was arrested at the community this morning and later charged with the offence of Attempt Sexual Assault and has been remanded in custody to face court in Darwin tomorrow.

Detective Acting Superintendent Justin Bentley from the Domestic Family Violence and Sex Crimes Division said "Police will continue to work tirelessly and across every inch of the Northern Territory in order to bring offenders such as this before the courts and to protect the community."
