Police make arrest - Attempted robbery in Darwin

Northern Territory Police are calling for information following two attempted robberies in Darwin City overnight.

At around 9:00pm, police received a report that four youths had entered a business on Knuckey Street. One of the youths allegedly threatened an employee with an edged weapon before fleeing the scene.

At 12:30am, police received a report that the same group of youths had allegedly entered a business on Mitchell Street and threatened an employee with an edged weapon before again fleeing the scene.

Strike Force Trident detectives arrested a 10-year-old male a short time ago and he is expected to be charged later today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said, "The remaining offenders are believed to be around 11-15 years old and had their faces covered during the incidents.

"Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 131 444. Please quote 10080145."
