Cannington Detectives have arrested a man after an incident that occurred in Cannington on Sunday, 25 July 2021.
It is alleged about 9.20pm, the man was walking on Cecil Avenue (near Sevenoaks St) causing a blue Toyota Yaris hatchback to stop. The man approached the vehicle and it is alleged he hit the windscreen with what was believed to be a firearm.
The female driver of the Yaris was able to drive away from the man.
The 26-year-old man from Queens Park has been charged with:-
• Attempted Armed Robbery; and
• Possessed a Controlled Weapon.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 27 July 2021.
