Police make arrest over drug offences in Darwin Greater Region

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 34-year-old man in relation to drug offences.

Drug and Organised Crime investigators executed a search warrant at an industrial property in Berrimah on Tuesday, locating and seizing:

  • Hydroponic grow room containing six cannabis plants
  • Approximately 12kg of cryovac cannabis
  • A large sum of money
  • Items indicia of supply

The man was located at a licensed premises in Nightcliff where he was arrested and taken to the Palmerston Watch House where he was later charged with:

  • Possess / supply schedule 2 - commercial quantity
  • Cultivate traffickable quantity of prohibited plant
  • Receive or possess property commission of offence
  • Possess schedule 2 less than traffickable quantity - public place
  • Unauthorised possession schedule 4 substance

He was remanded to appear before Darwin Local Court on 18 May 2022.
