Police make arrest - Property offending Katherine

Northern Territory Police have charged an 18-year-old with property offences after a trespass incident in Katherine on Saturday.

Around 6:20pm, police received reports from a resident, watching their security cameras, that their house was being unlawfully entered.

Katherine general duties immediately deployed and an 18-year-old female was arrested nearby, 3 minutes after the initial call.

She has since been charged with Trespass a closed premises.

Sergeant Andrew Thomson said "This was an incredibly fast apprehension and we thank the resident for quickly alerting police.

"Katherine Police remain committed to combating property crime in our community."
