Northern Territory Police have arrested a man in relation to a domestic violence related assault over the weekend.
At 8:40pm on Friday 24 November 2023, police received a report that a man was assaulting a female along Gardens Road.
Upon police attendance, the 36-year-old man ran into nearby bushland.
A cordon of the area was put into place, where the man was located and arrested without incident.
The 43-year-old female victim was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital with serious injuries.
Detectives are urging anyone who witnessed the assault to make contact on 131 444.
