Police make arrest - Violence offences at Humpty Doo

Northern Territory Police have arrested two men for multiple offences after a cordon was established in Humpty Doo yesterday.

NT Police received information that a 34-year-old active arrest target was at a residence on Woodlands Road, Humpty Doo.

Around 3:30pm, a cordon was established at the location with detectives from Strike Force Trident, members from the Territory Response Group and police negotiators deployed to the area.

A second arrest target, aged 24, was also at the location and by 6:30pm, both men were arrested without incident.

The 34-year-old man is expected to be charged with violence, property and historic firearm offences.

The 24-year-old man is expected to be charged with violence offences.

Both men remain in police custody assisting with inquiries.

The scene is now clear and the road has been re-opened.
