Police make arrests after Geelong evade and aggravated burglary

Police have arrested two teens following an alleged aggravated burglary on Saturday and high risk driving in Geelong overnight.

A 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old Corio boy were arrested after the vehicle they were in was sighted by police on the Princes Highway about midnight.

The black Holden Trax was detected travelling at speeds of up to 200km/hr in a 100km/hr zone.

The car was allegedly stolen during an aggravated burglary at an address on Amarina Crescent, Grovedale on Saturday.

The vehicle was monitored by the Airwing before police on the ground were able to arrest the pair in after the vehicle came to a stop on the Princes Highway in Norlane.

The pair remain in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
