Northern Territory Police have arrested 3 people in relation to an armed robbery in Darwin on Saturday.
At 4:50pm, police received a report that a service station along Smith Street had been robbed.
It is alleged that 3 male youths attended the business and threatened staff with a weapon, before stealing a quantity of small items and cash from the till.
The offenders fled the scene, leaving the alleged weapon, before police attendance.
CCTV identified 2 of the offenders leaving the area on a bus and they were subsequently met at the Palmerston Bus Exchange by arresting officers.
An 11-year-old and 12-year-old male were conveyed into the care of a responsible adult and a Territory Families referral was submitted.
Strike Force Trident later located and arrested the third offender.
A 14-year-old male has been charged with:
- Aggravated robbery x 2
- Damage to property
- Theft
- Aggravated burglary - building
- Possess controlled weapon
He has been remanded in custody to appear in court today.
