Police make arrests over armed robbery, Pimpama

Police have taken three youths into custody after a woman was threatened with knives and robbed outside a unit complex in Pimpama on the Gold Coast overnight, January 6.

Officers were called to the address on Bedford Road at 11.20pm, with initial investigations indicating three youths (two boys and a girl), had approached the 53-year-old, before the two boys allegedly produced knives and made threats.

It will be alleged the youths stole the woman's keys before fleeing the area on foot.

She was not physically injured, and multiple police crews converged on the area.

It will be alleged the dog squad was able to track the youths and they were subsequently arrested nearby, with knives allegedly seized from both the boys.

A 12-year-old Tanah Merah boy, 13-year-old Willow Vale boy, and a 15-year-old Pimpama girl have each been charged with one count of robbery, whilst armed and in company.

All three will remain in police custody, to appear in the Southport Children's Court at a later date.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have CCTV footage from the area, to contact them.

No further information is available at this time.
