Police Nab Pair After Suburban Chase

A man has been arrested after failing to stop for police at Elizabeth Park.

About 7.30pm on Tuesday 20 May, police saw a Ford SUV travelling on Kilsby Road, Elizabeth Park.

Police attempted to stop the car when it took off on Midway Road.

With the assistance of PolAir the car was tracked to Mia Street, Modbury North where the driver was located and arrested without incident.

Police checks on the passenger showed she was a wanted suspect for an attempt serious criminal trespass at Elizabeth Downs last month.

The 24-year-old woman from Ingle Farm was arrested and charged with unlawfully on premises.

She was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on the 1 July.

The driver a 21-year-old man from Ingle Farm was charged with numerous offences including dangerous driving to escape police pursuit and speed dangerous.

His bail was refused and it is expected he will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court later today.
