At the end of the game, the group approached the victim and allegedly assaulted him before one man pushed him to the ground.

Two men, a 29-year-old Ferntree Gully man and a 31-year-old Boronia man presented at a police station this morning.

The pair were interviewed by police and were released pending further enquiries.

Two further men have been identified and are expected to be spoken to by police at a later date.
