Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Windaroo

Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash at Windaroo this morning, May 26, resulting in the death of a 60-year-old motorcyclist.

Preliminary investigations indicate that around 11.40am, a motorcyclist was overtaking a truck and trailer on the left-hand side at the intersection of Beaudesert Beenleigh Road and Carl Heck Boulevard when he lost control and fell, colliding with the truck.

The rider, a 60-year-old Whiteside man, sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
