Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Birnam

Two 17-year-olds have died following a fatal two vehicle crash in Birnam last night, May 28.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 6.15pm, a utility and a sedan have collided head on along Beaudesert Beenleigh Road.

The driver and sole occupant of the utility, a 17-year-old Ormeau boy, was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver and sole occupant of the sedan, a 17-year-old Palen Creek boy, also died from his injuries at the scene.

Any witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at the time of the crash is urged to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
