Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Yeppoon 5 August

A man has died following a traffic crash involving a car and pedestrian at Yeppoon on 2 August.

Initial investigations indicate around 4:30pm, the pedestrian was struck by a Haval H6 station wagon while crossing Barmaryee Road.

The pedestrian, an 83-year-old Yeppoon man, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries but passed away on 4 August.

The driver, a 50-year-old Barmaryee woman, was not injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit who are investigating the incident are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam to the come forward.
