Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Mourilyan Harbour

A man has died in a traffic crash at Mourilyan Harbour this morning.

Around 6.20am, a white Toyota Hilux travelling east on Mourilyan Harbour Road collided with a truck travelling west.

An 18-year-old Innisfail man driving the Toyota Hilux was declared deceased at the scene.

The truck driver, a 63-year-old man from South Johnstone, was not physically injured.

Mourilyan Harbour Road was closed for several hours.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations continue.
