Police responding to serious traffic crash at Toowoomba 26 December

The Forensic Crash Unit investigating a single vehicle crash in Toowoomba yesterday evening are appealing for witnesses or motorists with dashcam vision.

Initial information indicates around 5pm on Christmas Day, a purple 2007 Honda Jazz hatchback was travelling north along West Street before leaving the roadway and crashing into a tree.

A young boy, a passenger of the vehicle, was transported in a serious condition to Toowoomba Base Hospital before being transferred to a Brisbane hospital.

The other occupants of the vehicle, a 27-year-old woman, a 29-year-old man and a young girl, were not seriously injured.

Investigators are continuing.
