Police seek help to find missing man at Robina

Police are appealing for urgent community assistance to help locate a 78-year-old man missing from Robina.

Russell Smith was seen leaving Robina Hospital at 11am and has not been seen since.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition and may be confused.

He uses a red wheely-walker and is described as Caucasian, approximately 178cm tall, with a proportionate build, grey hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a blue striped polo shirt, long black pants and white socks and sandals.

Police are searching Robina using Polair, on bikes, vehicles and foot patrols.

Residents are asked to check their properties, yards and sheds.

Anyone who sees Russell or has information about his whereabouts is urged to contact police.
