Police seek information on Firearm injuries - West Daly Region

Northern Territory Police are calling for information following the discovery of 2 males with suspected firearm injuries.

Late Wednesday 25 January Police in the West Daly responded to multiple reports of disturbances, armed persons and incidents of dangerous driving in a remote community in the region.

Upon arrival police discovered a 15-year-old youth who was bleeding from a shoulder wound.

Members then conveyed him and a family member to a remote community health clinic before he was flown to Darwin for treatment.

A second suspected firearm victim, a 21 year-old male, was later discovered with a minor elbow injury. He was treated at the local health clinic and released into the care of his family in the community.

A contingent of Northern Territory TRG officers have arrived in the community to support local officers to restore order.

Investigations are continuing with detectives and forensic officers attending the community today.

Police are urging anyone who may have information regarding the incidents to contact them on 131 444.
