Police seek information: Submerged canoe, Peel Island

Brisbane Water Police is appealing for information after a submerged canoe was located north of Peel Island (Moreton Bay) this morning.

At approximately 6.30am, a large green canoe (pictured) was located on the south western side of the Amity Banks.

There was no personal property in the canoe.

Police have conducted a land and water search in the area and are seeking community assistance to locate the owner of the vessel.

Investigators are urging anyone who may recognise the canoe or has information regarding the owner to call police.
