Police seek witnesses to assault in Alice Springs 14 February

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses to an incident on Gregory Terrace on Saturday evening in which a male was allegedly assaulted.

Around 11.50pm, a male was walking with friends on Gregory Terrace when a group of Aboriginal males approached.

A member of the group allegedly punched the victim once to the face, causing a significant injury.

Investigations are ongoing.

Detective Constable First Class Vanessa Heffernan said, "Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen the assault, or who was in the area with dashcam at that time, to make contact on 131444 and quote reference 9925155".
