Police seek witnesses to serious assault , SA

As part of an ongoing investigation police in the Holden Hill Local Service Area are seeking witnesses to a serious assault that occurred at Modbury in late January, according to SA Police.

Between 5pm and 6pm on Tuesday 31 January, a woman was sitting in the front passenger seat of a white VT Commodore which was stationary on Wright Road at the intersection with McIntyre Road at Modbury when she was attacked.

Police will allege a man, who is known to the victim, rode up to the vehicle on a mountain bike before pulling the woman from the car and assaulting her. He’s alleged to have taken her to a Modbury address and further assaulted her.

A 23-year-old man from Modbury has been arrested and charged with breaching an intervention order, kidnapping and assault with the intent to cause serious harm.

He is in custody and will next appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 18 April 2017.
