Police update 2: Continued appeal for information, Kiamba wounding and armed robbery investigation

Sunshine Coast detectives investigating the stabbing and armed robbery of a man at Kiamba on Monday, May 18 are appealing to a 17-year-old boy to contact them.

Police have released images of the teen who may be able to assist with their investigations.

The boy- who is described as Caucasian, approximately 178 – 180cms tall with a slim build and brown hair - is believed to be actively avoiding police and being assisted by associates on the Sunshine Coast.

Police are urging the boy to contact them and asking anyone who know his current whereabouts to immediately contact police, this can be done via Triple Zero (000), Policelink on 131 444 or if you wish to remain anonymous Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Reports can also be made online.

The boy is believed to be staying in the Nambour area however has many associates across the Sunshine Coast.

Police would also like to remind people that deliberating impeding a police investigation can result in criminal prosecution.

If spotted, please do not approach but immediately contact police.

Detectives arrested and charged a 25-year-old Bellmere woman was charged with deprivation of liberty, acts intended to maim, wounding, robbery in company whilst armed, assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed and unlawful possession of a weapon (see below release).

Update 1: Serious assault, Sunshine Coast - issued May 22

Sunshine Coast detectives have charged a 25-year-old woman following an investigation into a serious assault at Kiamba on Monday (May 18).

Around 4pm a 41-year-old man entered a black BMW 320i occupied by a man and woman known to him.

Shortly afterwards the three got out of the vehicle on Upper Hutton Road in Kiamba, and the driver threatened the man, pointing a gun at him.

A short scuffle ensued, before the firearm went off and the driver stabbed the man in the left arm with a knife.

The pair stole the man's phone, watch and other personal items before they fled in the BMW.

A 25-year-old Bellmere woman was charged with deprivation of liberty, acts intended to maim, wounding, robbery in company whilst armed, assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed and unlawful possession of a weapon.

She is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court tomorrow (May 23).

Police continue the appeal for the boy (pictured), who is understood to have been travelling in a black BMW.

He is described as Caucasian, around 180cm tall, of an average build with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who may have seen the boy is urged not to approach him and contact police.
