Police update: Wounding investigation, Tingalpa

Police have charged a 26-year-old man following an alleged wounding in Tingalpa this morning, October 27.

Emergency services were called to the Wynnum Road property at approximately 1.50am following reports a man had been stabbed.

Upon arrival, a 48-year-old Tingalpa man was located with non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The 26-year-old Tingalpa man was located nearby a short time later.

He was taken into police custody and has been charged with one count each of wounding and possession of a knife in a public place.

He is due to appear at Wynnum Magistrates Court today, October 27.
