An investigation is underway after a police vehicle struck a light pole during a pursuit at Moorebank overnight, NSW Police say.
Emergency services were called to Heathcote Road, Moorebank, shortly after 11.35pm today, when the fully-marked sedan struck the median strip then the pole, at the M5 on-ramp.
Two officers from Liverpool Local Area Command – one male and one female – were checked at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, and were allowed to return to duty.
The officers had been in pursuit of the rider of a motorbike, which failed to stop.
Inquiries are continuing.
