The grants are intended to strengthen Danish quantum research and provide younger researchers with the opportunity to spend a period of their research careers at leading research institutions, where they will gain new knowledge and enhance their research skills in the field of quantum.
Carles Roch I Carceller
Carles Roch I Carcellers research focuses on quantum physics and information technology. He has received approximately 1.8 million DKK for the project "Towards Practical and Secure Quantum Communication," which aims to develop new quantum cryptographic techniques to enhance the security of digital data.
Christian Emanuel Noes Petersen
Christian Emanuel Noes Petersens, DTU Energy, research focuses on functional materials. He has been awarded approximately 2 million DKK for the project "A Scalable Gate-Controlled Superconducting Multiqubit Processor," which will investigate a new type of electronic component – a so-called superconducting multiplexer – that could be crucial for future computers.
