Power to Unveil USAID's Maiden Strategic Religious Policy

On Tuesday, September 12 at 9:30 a.m. ET, Administrator Samantha Power will launch USAID's first-ever Strategic Religious Engagement Policy. The "Building Bridges in Development: USAID's Strategic Religious Engagement Policy" event, co-hosted by the United States Institute of Peace, will also feature the United States Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom Rashad Hussain, Executive Director of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships Melissa Rogers, USAID Mission Director for Jamaica Jay Singh, and USAID Executive Director; Local, Faith, and Transformative Partnerships Adam Phillips.

Administrator Power will discuss the U.S. Government's longstanding commitment to partnership with religious communities and faith-based organizations and why these partnerships are essential to USAID's ability to increase the impact and sustainability of its development and humanitarian assistance around the world.
