People visiting Jackson Court Shopping Centre will soon benefit from a safer and more accessible pedestrian crossing as Manningham Council continues to invest in local activity centres and road safety improvements.
Works will begin from 4 November 2026 to upgrade the pedestrian crossing near Doncaster Road. The project will create a shorter crossing distance and improve safety for both pedestrians and motorists travelling through the area.
The upgrade is designed to make it easier for residents, visitors and shoppers to access local businesses and services within the Jackson Court precinct.
What to expect
Construction is expected to take up to 5 weeks, weather permitting.
During the works:
• the first 60 metres of road entering Jackson Court from Doncaster Road will be closed
• traffic diversions will be in place
• access to the shopping precinct will remain available via alternate entry and exit points
• traffic controllers will be onsite to assist motorists and pedestrians
• minor traffic delays and construction noise may occur
• shops and businesses will remain open throughout construction
We thank the Jackson Court Traders Association and the community for its patience while these important road safety improvements are completed.
