Prestige Jayco Rolls Out Regional Service Centre

VIC Premier

The Allan Labor Government is bolstering Geelong's caravan supply chain and backing jobs and economic growth, with the completion of Prestige Jayco's new sales, administration and service centre.

Member for Geelong Christine Couzens today visited Prestige Jayco's dealership in Newcomb to officially open the new centre.

The new state-of-the-art dealership features two new workshops and 22 work bay areas, doubling its capacity to service caravans and motorhomes, and will enable the creation of more than a dozen new workshop technician and administration roles, with nine workers already hired.

The expansion will help Prestige Jayco support its customer base while employing local workers who have the necessary expertise to service caravans and motorhomes.

Prestige Jayco's increased servicing capacity will reduce waiting times for caravan owners from three months to just a few weeks, creating more business activity and allowing regional customers to get back on the road faster.

The project builds on an earlier Labor Government investment that supported the construction of a pre-delivery and service workshop completed in December 2023.

As one of Australia's leading caravan dealerships, Prestige Jayco plays a key role in servicing customers across regional Victoria.

The company's Newcomb site sells, repairs and services more than 1,500 caravans and motorhomes each year, with that number expected to grow thanks to the larger facility.

This expansion is part of the Labor Government's record $47 billion investment in just over a decade to help make rural and regional communities even better places to live, work and invest. For more info visit rdv.vic.gov.au
