Scholarships up to $50,000 available each year for offshore international Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) graduates to pursue studies in Western Australia.
The Western Australian (WA) Government has launched the Premier's Western Australian Certificate of Education Scholarship (the Scholarship). The Scholarship supports high-achieving international students with their travel, living and study expenses as they undertake tertiary education in WA.
The Scholarship is open to international students that have completed their WACE course at an approved School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) school outside of Australia.
This new Scholarship will run with a funding allocation of $1 million each year to support international WACE graduates who undertake undergraduate studies at one of WA's five universities, or enrol in a recognised tertiary pathway program in the State.
Replacing the previous WACE Bursary, the annual scholarship provides:
- $50,000 for up to two international WACE graduates with the highest academic achievement (as selected by the WA Government); and
- $30,000 for up to 30 high-achieving international WACE graduates.
This initiative forms part of the WA Government's work to support the international education sector, diversify the State's economy and build a strong pipeline of skilled workers.
Applications for the WA Premier's WACE Scholarship are open on a rolling basis, and the next selection date is 18 February 2026.
