Four charged over property offences in Central Desert

Northern Territory Police have charged four males aged 14 and 15, and two 18-year-old men in relation to property offences in remote communities during the last week.

At around 5pm Monday 4 January, it is alleged the group unlawfully entered a residence damaging property and stealing various items.

The two 18-year-old men were each charged with:

  • 1 X unlawful entry
  • 2 X damage to property
  • 1 X stealing
  • 1 X trespass

They were bailed to appear in the local court on 18 May 2021.

Police further allege, the four youths were also involved in another unlawful entry earlier in the week.

Two of the 15-year-olds were each charged with:

  • 1 X unlawful entry
  • 2 X damage to property
  • 1 X stealing
  • 1 X trespass

They were bailed to appear in court at a later date.

The two remaining youths, aged 14 and 15, will be subject to the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 2005.
