Police have released footage of a person as part of the investigation into an explosion at a home in Kingston on Thursday March 24.
Around 5.30pm, police were called to the Jacaranda Avenue address after an improvised explosive device detonated, leaving the 52-year-old male resident with concussion and significant chest, abdominal and limb injuries.
Paramedics transported the man to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.
The 48-year-old female resident was uninjured.
An emergency declaration was made under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) around 6.15pm, which was subsequently revoked.
Further investigations indicate that a person placed the improvised explosive device into the man's front-yard by lifting it over the fence around 1:15am on Thursday March 24.
Detectives believe the explosion to be targeted and not a random offence.
Police are now appealing to anyone who may have witnesses something suspicious - or anyone who may have captured dash-camera footage - in the vicinity of Kingston Road, Juers Street and Jacaranda Avenue between 12:00am (midnight) and 6:00am on Thursday March 24, to come forward.
