- The Market Accelerator Program helps exporters secure new customers, build global partnerships and turn opportunities into contracts.
- Successful recipients include businesses from advanced manufacturing, agriculture, technology and resources.
- The Crisafulli Government is strengthening Queensland's trade focus after a decade of decline under Labor.
The Crisafulli Government is backing Queensland exporters to win new global deals, with 33 businesses sharing in almost $1 million through the Market Accelerator Program.
The targeted grants will help small and medium exporters take the next step into international markets, from meeting buyers and adapting products to managing compliance, protecting intellectual property and finalising deals.
After a decade of decline under Labor, where too many exporters were left to carry the cost and risk of breaking into new markets alone, the Crisafulli Government is strengthening Queensland's trade focus and backing businesses to compete.
The Market Accelerator Program is facilitated by Trade and Investment Queensland and forms part of the Queensland Exporter Academy, giving businesses practical support, market advice and the capability to sell more Queensland products and services to the world.
Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training Ros Bates said the Crisafulli Government was focused on helping exporters move from opportunity to outcome.
"Queensland businesses do not need another release about potential. They need practical support that helps that win contacts," Minister Bates said.
"This is exactly what the Market Accelerator Program delivers.
"During this period of global trade volatility, this program delivers targeted support for our exporters looking to pivot new markets, at the right time.
"After a decade of decline under Labor, the Crisafulli Government is strengthening Queensland's trade ambitions and sending a clear message that Queensland is open for business.
"These grants help our exporters do the hard commercial work needed to enter new markets, meet international requirements, build buyer relationships and secure new deals."
