Real solutions for Zerbes Reserve under Liberals and Nationals

Liberal Party Victoria

Local sporting clubs will benefit from a $1 million commitment from a Matt Guy Liberals and Nationals Government towards the upgrading of the clubrooms and change rooms at Zerbes Reserve, Doncaster East.

Zerbes Reserve is home to many great local clubs including Doncaster East Football Club, Doncaster East Cricket Club, and the Beverley Hills Junior Football Club.

The clubrooms were last refurbished in February 1998, and are in need of updating to help cater for the growing numbers of men and women, boys and girls.

This commitment will allow the sporting clubs to work with the Manningham City Council to ensure that clubrooms and change rooms are modernised to cater for these thriving clubs.

Leader of the Liberal Party and Member for Bulleen, Matt Guy, said that this commitment would be welcomed by all members of the sporting clubs, as well as the wider local community.

"This upgrade will help continue make Zerbes Reserve one of the premier sporting facilities in Manningham."

Member for Warrandyte, Ryan Smith, said that the announcement was a great investment in community grassroot sports.

"After having two years of lockdowns with limited access to sports, this will be a much welcomed and needed upgrade to Zerbes."
