Campaspe Shire Council has commenced the recruitment process for its next Chief Executive Officer.
The recruitment campaign is being supported by executive recruitment firm Future Leadership, which is helping Council promote the opportunity, identify potential candidates and attract a strong field of applicants.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Cr Daniel Mackrell said appointing a Chief Executive Officer was one of Council's most important responsibilities.
"This is an important appointment for Council and our community, and we are committed to undertaking a thorough and considered recruitment process.
"We are looking for an experienced and capable leader who can work collaboratively with Councillors, staff and the community to help deliver Council's priorities and guide the organisation into the future," Cr Mackrell said.
Subject to the recruitment process and completion of the required checks and negotiations, Council expects to consider the preferred candidate's appointment at its November 2026 meeting. Timings remain indicative and may change depending on candidate availability and other recruitment considerations.
