REDISCOVER GRAFTON: Grafton's Gnome-Town Heroes and more

Grafton's Gnome-Town Heroes is just one of many colourful additions to Prince Street this summer as part of the Rediscover Grafton project. There are 20 gnomes of historical Grafton figures scattered throughout the Grafton CBD (and a couple in South Grafton), each with fascinating stories to tell. Pick up your guide map including descriptions of all the gnomes from Grafton Regional Gallery or download it here.

  • A free tour of the gnomes led by Gertie the Giant Gnome will leave from Grafton Regional Gallery on Saturday 07 January.

The purpose of our Rediscover Grafton project is to add vibrancy to Prince Street over summer. Other additions include festive lighting of the clocktower, spot-lit trees and an audio-visual art projection above 51 Prince Street (hurry - runs until this Monday, 26 Dec).

Pedestrian crossings have been converted into safer 'wombat' crossings'. Meanwhile works will start on Monday, 9 January 2023 to widen footpath, install plants and trial front to kerb parking in Prince Street. To install the changes it will take up to one week on each side of Prince Street, which will cause disruptions to parking. However, Prince Street will remain open to traffic and pedestrians.
