Deputy Commonwealth Chief Medical Officer, Professor Michael Kidd, and First Assistant Secretary from the Department of Health Dr Lucas de Tocawill provide a progress report on the national vaccination program and address issues relevant to both GPs and non-GP Specialists alike.
Guest speaker, Dr Chrarlotte Slade, Clinical Immunologist will speak about the provisions in place to vaccinate different population groups with the COVID-19 vaccination.
The webinar will focus on:
Clinical guideline clarity for vaccine use in at risk groups;
Healthcare worker access to the vaccine in advance of wider population distribution;
General Practice's response to the Expression of Interest;
Medico-legal issues of patient consent and the Commonwealth vaccine indemnity.
