This year marked the launch of the new international resuscitation guidelines, a milestone that occurs every five years and sets the standard for future life-saving efforts across Europe.

Researchers from the Center for Resuscitation Science at Södersjukhuset and KI participated as speakers, moderators, and presenters. Among the highlights, Akil Awad and Emelie Dillenbeck presented the international studies Double-D and PRINCESS II pilot phases, generating great interest and recognition from the international community.

The meeting focuses on improving cardiac arrest survival through innovation, education, and international collaboration. Through lectures, workshops, and hands-on training, the future of resuscitation is being shaped - from the emergency room to the community. The Center for Resuscitation Science at Södersjukhuset and KI, represented by Professor Jacob Hollenberg and colleagues, contributed both to the writing of international guidelines and to the congress itself as speakers, moderators, and with two of the six 'Late Breaking Hot-Line' presentations.

Behind these presentations lies years of hard work, collaboration, and dedication to improving outcomes after cardiac arrest. We are immensely proud of all our researchers and colleagues who continue to represent Swedish resuscitation research on the international stage.
