Revamped ANZ Branches Boost Sunshine Coast Service

ANZ has officially reopened its Sunshine Plaza branch today following a major refurbishment, delivering a more modern, accessible banking experience for Sunshine Coast customers.

The upgraded branch has been transformed into a contemporary, open-plan environment designed with customers firmly at the centre. The refurbishment includes an improved layout and technology to better support customers' needs, alongside enhanced facilities for staff to provide more personalised service and guidance.

The reopening forms part of a major $20 million investment into the ANZ branch network across Queensland over the next 18 months.

ANZ General Manager Branch Network, Queensland, Jackie Auf der Maur, said the investment reflects ANZ's commitment to supporting the Sunshine Coast's continued growth and ensuring customers have access to quality face-to-face banking services.

"At ANZ, we are committed to delivering great experiences for our customers, and that starts with creating spaces that are welcoming, accessible and designed around how people want to bank today.

"This refurbishment has created a more modern, flexible branch environment where customers can have meaningful conversations about their finances and feel supported to reach their goals - whether that's buying a home, growing a business or planning for the future."

Meanwhile, ANZ will open a new specialised Business Centre in Maroochydore City Centre next week (August 3, 2026), strengthening support for the region's growing business community and reinforcing ANZ's commitment to growth opportunities across the Sunshine Coast.

Located at 50 First Avenue, the new Business Centre will provide customers with access to specialist business bankers who can support a range of needs including lending, cash flow management, day-to-day banking and growth opportunities, helping local businesses start, run and grow with confidence.

The opening replaces the former ANZ Maroochydore Business Centre on Horton Parade and Suncorp Bank Business Centre in Warana. All business bankers from both sites will now be based at the new Maroochydore Business Centre as a colocation to ensure local ANZ and Suncorp Bank business customers can continue to access specialist banking support in a single, purpose-built space.

"We know that access to specialist advice and face-to-face support remains important for many business owners, particularly as they navigate growth, investment and changing economic conditions," Ms Auf der Maur continued.

"The new ANZ Maroochydore Business Centre brings together experienced bankers and tailored support services in one supersized location, making it easier for businesses across the Sunshine Coast to access the help they need to grow with confidence.

"The Sunshine Coast continues to attract people, businesses and investment, and we're committed to ensuring our banking network evolves alongside the region's growth."

This follows other investments across ANZ's national branch footprint, including the re-opening of ANZ Chinchilla, and branch refurbishments across ANZ Westfield Marion (SA), ANZ Westfield Whitford City (WA) and ANZ Camberwell (VIC).
