Rivervale attempted armed robbery arrest

Regional Investigations Unit detectives have charged a man in relation to an armed robbery in Rivervale yesterday, Sunday 5 May 2019.

It will be alleged about 9.15am, the man armed with a knife entered a service station located on Great Eastern Highway. He threatened staff and demanded cash. When staff refused, he left the knife on the counter and left the store.

The man was located by police a short time later on Great Eastern Highway near Kooyong Road in Rivervale and taken into custody.

The 35-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with Attempted Armed Robbery and he is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 6 May 2019.
