Goulburn Mulwaree Council advises that night works will soon commence on Finlay Road, from the Lockyer Street intersection to Alice Road.
These works will deliver important road pavement upgrades due to wear and tear from heavy traffic use on Finlay Road. The works were identified to be completed as part of Council's Road Condition Assessment undertaken earlier this year.
Work is scheduled to take place on Friday 29 May, Monday 1 June, and Tuesday 2 June 2026. Work will be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 5am, weather permitting.
Please note that during the construction period, residents and businesses may experience temporary disruptions, including:
- Increased construction vehicle activity
- Noise associated with civil works
- Reduced speed limits,
- intermittent lane closures; and
- Detours
Council acknowledges the temporary inconvenience and appreciates the community's patience during these important upgrades.
