Robbery of pizza delivery driver in Nowra

Police are investigating after a pizza delivery driver was robbed at Nowra on the state’s South Coast last night, NSW Police say.

About 9.40pm yesterday, an 18-year-old pizza delivery man was driving in Elizabeth Avenue. The man stopped to make a delivery and was approached by two men wearing hooded jackets to cover their faces.

The men produced a metal rod and threatened him and demanded money.

The 18-year-old handed over cash and the two men drove off.

The delivery driver returned to work and reported the incident to police.

Police are now searching for two men that they believe can assist with their investigation.

They are described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, with a medium height and a medium build. They were both wearing hooded jumpers and were driving a grey or silver Hyundai sedan.

No one was injured during the incident.

A crime scene was established and police canvassed the street.

Investigations are continuing.
