Iconic US pop-punk band Good Charlotte will bring the lifestyles of the rich and famous to Bendigo this summer for a high-octane night of hits, backed by the Allan Labor Government.
Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos announced the chart-topping band will headline a huge show at Bendigo Racecourse on Saturday, 21 February - in a set which will turn up the volume and light up the city, drawing fans from across Australia to the region.
Fronted by twin brothers and music icons Joel and Benji Madden, it will be one of the band's first shows in Australia in almost a decade - and is part of their Motel Du Cap World Tour, celebrating the release of their highly-anticipated eighth studio album.
The crowd will also be treated to nostalgic 2000s tunes like The Anthem, Little Things, Lifestyles of the Rich & the Famous and I Just Wanna Live as part of a powerhouse performance packed with hits.
This is the latest in a pipeline of events in regional Victoria, with rock legend Lenny Kravitz playing at the Mildura Sporting Precinct on Friday, 28 November.
The Labor Government is backing events around regional Victoria through the $38 million Regional Event Fund, with the show adding to an epic events calendar including Comedy in the Vines, OK Rochester, the Mildura Fringe Festival and Sunnyside Ballarat.
Pre-sale tickets for the Good Charlotte show go on sale today, with tickets for the general public available from 11am on Thursday.
