Secretary of State Marco Rubio met today with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys to discuss bilateral and regional issues. The Secretary applauded Lithuania's decision to spend over 5 percent of GDP on defense in 2026 and thanked Lithuania for providing excellent host nation support to U.S. rotational troops. The Secretary and Minister Budrys also discussed opportunities to increase bilateral investment and trade, to strengthen our defense industrial base, and to expand access to U.S. energy solutions, including liquified natural gas and small modular nuclear reactors.
