  • State Government and the City of Stirling have worked together to deliver $100 million redevelopment project
  • Foreshore has supported the Scarborough Redevelopment Area and revitalisation of popular seaside activity hub
  • Significant investment and job growth have driven success of redevelopment

The State Government has handed control of the award-winning Scarborough foreshore development over to the City of Stirling, marking the completion of almost a decade of successful collaboration.

DevelopmentWA has approved nearly 2,000 new residential dwellings within the redevelopment area, with 422 units constructed and a further 1,200 in the delivery pipeline, including 170 affordable housing units.

Through proactive collaboration of local and State Governments in the planning and delivery phase, the project has transformed the Scarborough Redevelopment Area into a hub of activity.

The City will continue to move the Scarborough foreshore forward, with the re-energisation of the precinct attracting significant investment interest and job growth in the area.

With an ambitious goal of attracting more than 700,000 new visitors to the City by 2041, the foreshore development will play a key role in driving economic growth in the State's largest employment hub outside of the Perth CBD.
