A search operation is underway to locate a fisherman reported missing from Sydney's east yesterday.
About 9am today (Monday 3 August 2026), officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command commenced an investigation after 82-year-old man, Eui Chul Suh, was reported missing when he did not return home from a fishing trip in Sydney's Eastern Beaches area.
Eui was last seen in the vicinity of Bonds Lookout, near Marine Parade, Maroubra Beach, about 4pm yesterday (Sunday 2 August 2026).
Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command were notified and commenced a search with the assistance from PolAir and Marine Area Command.
Police have since located unattended fishing equipment believed to belong the missing man on the rocks.
Eui is described as being of Asian appearance, about 160cm tall, of slim build, with white/grey hair and black eyes.
He was last seen wearing a navy jacket, green trackpants and black sneakers.
