Search Renewed For Missing Person Benjamin

Police are renewing the search for missing person Benjamin in the state's Far North.

The search, coordinated by Missing Persons Investigation Section officers, will commence tomorrow, Tuesday 15 September, and involve members from the Mounted Operations Unit, State Emergency Service (SES), uniformed police, detectives, and specialist ground and aerial support assets.

Benjamin, 40, was last seen on the Stuart Highway south of Glendambo on the afternoon of Friday 26 September 2025. Police continue to hold grave concerns for his welfare and safety.

A blue 2006 Hyundai Getz with Western Australia registration plates 1IGG659, which was being driven by Benjamin, was located abandoned on Saturday 27 September 2025 in scrub about 10 kilometres off the Stuart Highway near Wirraminna.

At the time of his disappearance, extensive ground and aerial searches were conducted involving local police, PolAir, drones, SES volunteers and local trackers. Despite those efforts, Benjamin was not located.

A review of the search has since identified a number of additional areas that will now be searched.

Benjamin is described as being about 180cm tall, of medium build, with brown eyes and dark brown hair worn in a mullet style.

The community may notice an increased police presence in the Woomera and Wirraminna areas as search operations get underway. The search is expected to continue throughout the week, with updates provided as they become available.

Anyone with information about Benjamin's movements or whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au or free call 1800 333 000. Information can be provided anonymously.
